Overview
With the passage of time, the anticipated age at death will slowly rise for
those individuals who have survived. For example, an individual at age 65 may
have an anticipated age of death of (say) 85. By the time they reach 75, this
anticipated age of death may have progressed to age 87. We need to show more
information than this because for a couple, we need to know how many years at
the Age Pension couple rate is anticipated, followed by a further period where
the survivor will receive the single rate. Consequently both alive, and
at least one alive will be evaluated by this calculator.
